is an ancient art form that continues to fascinate audiences today. From
bright, sparkly extravagances to highly skilled and sensual solos bellydance
will draw your audience in and have them clapping along. Something a bit
different, bellydance is sure to make your event memorable and is suitable for
a wide range of audiences and venues.
Kali-Zahira has been performing bellydance professionally for 12 years, she has performed at every imaginable kind of event on stages across the world. Her vast performance experience and deep knowledge of the dance form enable her to customize acts to suit your audience’s tastes.

Stage shows and corporate entertainment: Bellydance
appeals to a hugely diverse audience from the very young to older, jaded
corporate executives. A bellydance performance can add intrigue and interest to
any event, it is an unusual and entertaining spectacle of performance art. Both
solos and group performances can be effective on large stages and are perfect
points of interest and engagement spread among a dry presentation or as a
splash of colour at the beginning or end of celebrations.
Bellydance requirements:
-Private changing space and gear storage.
-Advanced notice of stage area in order to prepare appropriate choreographies, minimum 2m by 2m.
-Sound system.
-Props available include – zills (finger cymbals) veils, swords, fire fans.

Roving performers and private events: Even if your
event is not large or doesn’t have a dedicated stage space, bellydancing can
still be highly effective entertainment. A roving performer can dance between
the tables or in a small cleared space. This up close and personal performance
(often including audience participation) is a hit with guests who have never
seen this style of dance before. It is a great way to get a party started and engage
guests, setting the scene for the rest of the celebration.

-Sound system.
-Performances are only suitable for mixed sex audiences (no stag nights, sorry guys)
-Props available include depending on space restraints– zills (finger cymbals) veils, swords, fire.

Classes and workshops
Beginner
Bellydance: Classes are available weekly, they include an introduction to Egyptian
style bellydance, basic movement break down and simple choreography. These
classes are perfect for people who have never danced before.
Intermediate/Advanced Bellydance: Classes are available weekly, they focus on advanced layering and isolation drills, developing dance technique and performance and introduce students to a wide range of choreographies.

Building
choreography workshops: Including skills to easily build and create your own
dances, areas such as noting music, and stage orientation, and creating dynamic
composition are covered to help you create stress free choreographies.
The folkloric project workshops: this workshop explores what folkloric dance is to modern Oriental dancers. Students explore folkloric dance discussing how it evolved and what it means to them. Exercises are done applying modern music to traditional dances and vice versa as we create a modern folkloric vocabulary.
